Washington's historic Willard InterContinental now offers Afternoon Tea in Peacock Alley. The new Afternoon Tea provides guests premium seating at elegantly appointed tables set in the hotel's Peacock Alley -- one of Washington's prime locations to "stroll, strut, see and be seen" for nearly a century.

As history states the seventh Duchess of Bedford (1783-1847) often grew hungry in the early afternoon where she took up the practice of taking a warm cup of tea accompanied by small sweets and subtle savory items –
long since known as “Afternoon Tea”.

PLEASE NOTE - Afternoon Tea is being offered on Saturday and Sunday only in July from 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm and will be closed during the month of August. Normal hours will resume in September.
